Graphene Textile
RF attenuation and superior thermal conduction — measured fabric properties.
Core scientific principles
Established materials science and sleep physiology. We are explicit about what is proven, what is designed-for, and what is still being validated.
Down-regulation means one thing: removing the physical inputs that keep your body working at night, so its own wind-down can happen undisturbed.
Conductive spreading, phase-change buffering and breathable structure support the natural core-temperature drop the body performs to enter sleep.
Even, gentle pressure and a soft, stable surface reduce the small disturbances — hot spots, dampness, rustle — that fragment rest.
No screens, scores, batteries or routines. A surface that works every night without asking anything of you first.
Bisomna is not a medical device. The BDRS describes design intent grounded in established physiology; product-level outcomes are being validated — see below.
Materials
Bisomna™ integrates five key materials, each chosen for a well-understood physical property that contributes to a calmer sleep environment.
RF attenuation and superior thermal conduction — measured fabric properties.
A breathable, skin-adaptive living biomaterial for airflow and moisture control.
Even weight distribution and gentle damping through natural fibre structure.
Mineral adsorption of humidity and odour in the local microclimate.
Latent-heat buffering that smooths temperature swings — established in apparel.
Every layer earns its place through measurement — material quality, thermal behaviour and the body's response are lab-tested before anything reaches the product.
Validation
Our clinical validation programme is in progress (see the Roadmap). The figures below are the pre-registered target endpoints of that programme — published here for transparency, and updated as results arrive.
| Timepoint | Sleep score target | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Baseline | 62 | — |
| Week 2 | 71 | +14.5% |
| Week 4 | 78 | +25.8% |
| Week 8 | 85 | +37.1% |
| Metric | Target | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Deep sleep | +24% | Cellular repair & memory consolidation |
| REM sleep | +18% | Emotional regulation & cognition |
| Sleep onset | −31% | Less time to fall asleep |
Results will be published upon completion of the validation programme, whatever they show. Research enquiries: research@bisomna.com
Mechanisms
Fundamental physics and material science — nothing more, and nothing less.
The graphene layer forms a conductive mesh — a Faraday-cage effect that attenuates ambient RF signals (Wi‑Fi and cellular bands) under the blanket. This is a physical measurement of the fabric, not a claim about health outcomes.
Bacterial cellulose's microporous structure and graphene's conductivity work together to draw heat away from the body, while PCM capsules buffer the swings — supporting stable thermal homeostasis through the night.
Even weight from the mycelium structure, moisture wicking and a rustle-free surface remove the micro-disturbances that fragment sleep — with nothing to monitor, charge or adjust.
Positioning
Trackers watch you. Climate systems run machinery around you. Bisomna engineers the material itself.
